Jormungandr
Description
Jormungandr is a powered coaster manufacturered by Zamperla. It opened in the park back in 1987 as the 'Buffalo Mountain Coaster' and had a buffalo train design. It operated like this until the end of 2021 where over the closed season, the ride transformed and refurbished to align with the brand new 'Vikings' area of the park, of which it is a part of. The ride was renamed to 'Jormungandr' and the ride's train was changed dramatically to resemble a wooden serpentine design with a head at the front and a tail at the back of the train. The ride is themed to the giant sea monster of norse mythology that shares the same name. Otherwise known as the 'World Serpent', in mythology, Jormungandr wraps itself around the world causing storms and tidal waves with its unfathomable size. The ride experience is gentle compared to the other roller coasters in the park. The ride makes its way around the Vikings area and across the lake at a steady pace and doesn't offer much in terms of height and speed, making this a perfect ride for all.

- •Gold Rush can run two separate cycles which can lead to two different ride experiences. Cycle 1 runs from the second the ride opens and continues to do so until it switches to cycle 2. Cycle 2 runs in the afternoon until the end of the day (usually starting around 2pm). If you want to catch both, make sure to visit Gold Rush more than once during your visit.
