'Balade Enchantée' is French for 'Enchanted Stroll'. The ride name is misspelled (with an extra 'l') on the ornamental sign above the entrance.

Ch'ti is a slang word/nickname for the people from the Hauts-de-France region. The origins of the word are unclear and many theories exist. The word did have a slight negative meaning but the people have come to embrace the name as a badge of honor. Since the popular 2008 movie 'Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis', the name has become more popular and even the local tourist departments and merchandise embrace and use it.
